Thank you for shopping with Lagos Kitchen African Store. We value your satisfaction and aim to provide quality African groceries and food products. Please read our Refund & Return Policy carefully before making a purchase.

Overview

Our return policy lasts 7 days from the date your order is delivered. Because we sell food and grocery items, returns are limited for health, safety, and freshness reasons.

If 7 days have passed since your delivery date, we may not be able to offer a refund or exchange.

Eligible Returns

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be unused and unopened
  • The item must be in its original packaging
  • The item must not be damaged due to customer handling
  • Proof of purchase or order confirmation is required

Non-Returnable Items

Due to the nature of our products, the following items cannot be returned or refunded:

  • Perishable food items
  • Frozen products
  • Fresh produce
  • Opened food packages
  • Spices and seasonings that have been opened
  • Prepared foods
  • Clearance or sale items
  • Gift cards

For health and safety reasons, we cannot restock or resell opened grocery items.

Damaged, Incorrect, or Missing Items

If you receive:

  • A damaged item
  • The wrong product
  • Missing items from your order

Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of the item(s)
  • A brief description of the issue

Once reviewed, we may offer:

  • A replacement
  • Store credit
  • A partial or full refund

Refunds

Once your request is reviewed and approved, refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Please note:

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable
  • Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider

You will receive an email notification once your refund has been processed.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received your refund yet:

  1. Check your bank account again
  2. Contact your credit card provider
  3. Contact your bank, as processing delays can occur

If you still have not received your refund after completing these steps, please contact us.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are:

  • Defective
  • Damaged during delivery
  • Incorrectly shipped

To request an exchange, contact us with your order details and photos of the item received.

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (damaged, defective, or incorrect items).

We recommend using a trackable shipping service for returns, as we cannot guarantee receipt of returned items.

Order Cancellations

Orders may only be canceled before they are processed or shipped. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be canceled.
